Many people ask me “Just how important is web design graphics when it comes to Internet marketing?”, and here’’s my answer:
There are 2 camps on this topic..and they are:
1. Graphic design does not affect anything, only content does.
2. The other group strongly believes that marketing graphics are very important, and can make significant improvements to both sales and conversions.
You would not believe the amount of controversy this reply generates. Sometimes, at Internet Marketing events, I can mention this question and these two camps, and it will spark an entire evening of conversation.
I think the second group is closer to the truth. Let me explain…
We all want visitors to do something on our site…add content, buy our products, or subscribe to your newsletters and broadcasts. We want each website visit to last longer, and have more things happen. We want to monetize our site better.
Now, if you go on a job interview, or meet someone new, what happens? If you said “instant first impression” - you are right!
Well, that’’s what happens when a new person comes to your site. Now, that first impression may be wrong, but it doesn”t matter, because if they think it’’s wrong, they are gone.
So, what does first impressions have with web graphics? Everything!
Try putting up a boring unattractive site, and see what happens. Everyone will think “another useless website” and leave. You will lose people before they ever discover the amazing content you are sharing.
Get your website to stand out with professional graphics that make a fabulous first impression, and you”ll notice the difference in your stats and bank accounts.
Think back to some of the websites you bookmarked on your first visit. Remember how they grabbed your attention and got you looking closely at what they offered? The first step is by the proper use of layout and web graphics to get people to start reading and watching. Now you know this, wouldn”t you want the graphics that give the best possible results?
Good graphic design is the best way to create instant differentiation that gets people’’s attention and gets your site read and visited. You can even find some graphics packages already made that will boost your results quickly.
